I run Sky's Pet Paradise myself, and I do everything with intention. I read situations, people and pets quickly, and I meet them where they're at.

When you book with me, I'm the person who shows up, every visit, every time. No kennels, no rotating staff, nobody your dog has to get used to all over again. That's a deliberate choice. Dogs settle when things stay predictable, and I'd rather look after fewer dogs properly than more dogs quickly.

That intention shows up in the small things. I don't sell set packages, because no two dogs need the same routine. We start with a free meet and greet; I learn how your dog actually lives, what they eat, where they sleep, what makes them nervous and how long they need before they'll trust someone new and the care gets built around that. If your dog needs a slow warm-up, they get one. If they settle better with the radio on, the radio goes on.

The dogs other sitters find tricky are the ones I like best. I've spent years with rescue dogs, high-needs dogs, and dogs with separation anxiety, including shelter and foster work in Mexico and time around the seeing eye dogs at CNIB. Anxious dogs [and owners] need someone calm and consistent who lets them come around at their own pace. I make the time for that and overcommunicate when needed.

I've been caring for dogs in their own homes across the Okanagan Valley since 2018. Animals are where I'm most at home, and I take being trusted with someone's house and someone's dog seriously.
